How to Hot Plug a SATA2 HDD:

Connect SATA data cable to
the motherboard’s SATA2 connector.
Connect SATA 15-pin power cable connector
(Black) end to SATA2 HDD.
Connect SATA data cable to
the SATA2 HDD.
