Benefits of a proper DECT site survey Generally speaking the site survey kit can be used for two types of applications: planning a new project or expanding an existing system. Optimizing range is a fundamental challenge of radio technology. Reception quality at the range limit is patchy at best. Practical measurements have to be carried out, in order to ensure full coverage and seamless handover. Radio coverage is difficult to estimate. It needs to be verified with on site measurements. This will provide a reliable idea of the equipment required (optimization of costs) and the locations for the base stations (quality).
