Chapter 3 Troubleshooting Please use the following procedures as a guide for Acer LCD TV AT2703/AT2704 problems. NOTE: The diagnostic tests are intended to test only Acer products. Non-Acer products, prototype cards, or modified options may occur errors or invalid responses. 1. Duplicate symptom and obtain the fail symptom as many as possible. 2. Distinguish symptom. Verify the symptoms by attempting to recreate the failure, running the diagnostic tests or repeating the same operation. 3. Disassemble and assemble the unit without any power sources. 4. If any problem occurs, you can perform visual inspection before you fellow this chapter's instructions. You can check the following: 1. Power cords are properly connected and secured; 2. There are no obvious shorts or opens; 3. There are no obviously burned or heated components; 4. All components appear normal. 5. Use the following flow chart to determine which part should be replaced. NOTE: N. G. in the below figure means "No Good". Chapter 3 41
