General Information Before You Begin Before proceeding with the disassembly procedure, make sure that you do the following: 1. Turn off the power to the system and all peripherals. 2. Unplug the AC adapter and all power and signal cables from the system. 3. Remove the battery pack. 4. The two screws that secure the power board LS-1257 on the upper case are M2.5x4. Please make sure you use the right screws. Otherwise, other screws that are too long may damage the main board as you secure the power board to the upper case. NOTE: Aspire 1400 uses mylar or tape to fasten the FFC/FPC/connectors/cable, you may need to tear the tape or mylar before you disconnect different FFC/FPC/connectors. 56 Chapter 3
