Removing the System Fan/Thermal Modules/VGA Board and CPU 1. Disconnect the fan cable from the main board. 2. Remove the three screws holding the system fan. 3. Remove the four spring screws holding the CPU thermal module. 4. Then detach the CPU thermal module as shown. 5. Remove the four spring screws holding the VGA thermal module. 6. Then detach the VGA thermal module as shown. 7. Remove the two screws fastening the VGA board then remove it. 8. Use a flat screwdriver to release the CPU lock (Turn counter clock-wire). 9. Remove the CPU from the CPU socket carefully. NOTE: VGA thermal module and VGA board on selected models only. 60 Chapter 3
