16 - Ask Cortana ASK CORTANA Cortana is your personal assistant on your phone. Cortana can be used to remind you about something at a set time, or when you reach a particular place. To launch Cortana, simply tap the Cortana tile on the Start screen. The first time you launch Cortana, you will need to go through a quick setup process. You will need to be connected to the internet for Cortana to work. Setting up Cortana 1. Tap the Cortana tile to launch Cortana. Then tap Next from the first screen you see. 2. Read the privacy statement, then tap Use Cortana. 3. You will need to sign in with a Microsoft account by tapping Sign in and then selecting the account to use from the next window that opens. 4. Enter your account information and password if needed. Tap Next if you want to add the device to your account or, tap Sign in to just this app instead to only sign in with the app.
