20 - Using the keyboard USING THE KEYBOARD The keyboard has full-sized keys, a numeric keypad, separate cursor, lock, Windows keys and hotkeys. Lock keys The keyboard has lock keys which you can use to turn keyboard functions on and off. Lock key Caps Lock Description When Caps Lock is on, all alphabetic characters typed are in uppercase. Hotkeys To activate hotkeys, press and hold the Fn key before pressing the other key in the hotkey combination. Hotkey Icon Function Description Fn + F1 Speaker toggle Turns the speakers on and off. Fn + F2 Volume down Decreases the sound volume. Fn + F3 Volume up Increases the sound volume. Fn + F4 Fn + F5 Fn + F6 Fn + F7 Fn + F8 Microphone toggle Keyboard backlight toggle Touchpad toggle Brightness down Brightness up Turns the microphones on and off. Light indicator: On: Microphone mute Off: Microphone enable Turns the keyboard backlight on and off. Turns the built-in touchpad on and off. Decreases the screen brightness. Increases the screen brightness.
