When enabled, the processor's Ll 1 & L2 cache will be allowed to function. This allows the best possible performance from the processor. When disabled, the processor's Level 1 cache will be disabled. The processor will bypass the Level 1 & L2 cache and rely only on the Level 3 caches. This reduces the performance of the processor. The recommended setting is obviously Enabled since disabling it severely affects the processor's performance.
