Integrated Peripherals The following table describes each Integrated Peripherals parameter. Settings in boldface are the default and suggested settings. Parameter USB Host Controllers USB 2.0 Support USB Keyboard/Mouse Support Floppy Disk Controller Onboard LAN Description Options This setting is used to enable/disable the onboard USB controller. Enabled Disabled Set to Enabled if you need to use any USB 2.0 device in the operating system that does not support or have any USB 2.0 driver installed, such as DOS. Enabled Disabled This item allows the BIOS to interact with a USB keyboard or mouse to work with MS-DOS based utilities and non-Windows modes. This item lets you enable or disable the USB mouse driver within the onboard BIOS. The keyboard driver simulates legacy mouse command and lets you use a USB mouse during POST or after boot if you do not have a USB driver in the operating system. Enabled Disabled Configures the integrated diskette controller. Enabled Disabled his setting controls the onboard LAN controller. Enabled Disabled Chapter 2 36
