5. Connect the CPU fan cable to the CPU_FAN connector on the motherboard. CPU_FAN CPU FAN PWM CPU FAN IN CPU FAN PWR GND CPU Fan connector Do not forget to connect the CPU fan connector! Hardware monitoring errors can occur if you fail to plug this connector. 2.5 Installing a DIMM The system motherboard comes with two Double Data Rate 2 (DDR2) Dual Inline Memory Module (DIMM) sockets. The following figure illustrates the location of the sockets: DIMM_A1 DIMM_B1 240-pin DDR2 DIMM Sockets 2.5.1 Memory configurations You may install 256 MB, 512 MB, and 1 GB unbuffered ECC/non-ECC DDR2 DIMMs into the DIMM sockets. For optimum compatibility, we recommend that you obtain memory modules from the same vendor.
