4.3.7 ASUS EPU ASUS EPU is an energy-efficient tool that provides you with a total system power-saving solution. It detects the current computer loading and intelligently adjusts the power in real-time. With auto phase switching for components, the EPU automatically provides the most appropriate power usage via intelligent acceleration and overclocking. ASUS EPU provides you with these modes to choose from: • Turbo Mode • Medium Power Saving Mode • High Performance Mode • Max. Power Saving Mode When you select Auto Mode , the system shifts modes automatically according to the current system status. You can also configure advanced settings for each mode. Launching EPU After installing EPU from the motherboard support DVD, double-click the EPU tray icon to launch the program. The first time you launch EPU, the following message will appear, asking you to run Calibration first. Running calibration allows the system to detect CPU properties to optimize power management. Click Run Calibration and wait for a few seconds. Then, the EPU main menu appears. EPU main menu iGPU energy saving status GPU Boost is available only when you install the GPU Boost driver from the support DVD. Displays the following message if no VGA power saving engine is detected. Launching EPU
After installing EPU from the motherboard support
