Product introduction 1 1.1 Before you proceed Take note of the following precautions before you install motherboard components or change any motherboard settings. • Unplug the power cord from the wall socket before touching any component. • Before handling components, use a grounded wrist strap or touch a safely grounded object or a metal object, such as the power supply case, to avoid damaging them due to static electricity. • Before you install or remove any component, ensure that the ATX power supply is switched off or the power cord is detached from the power supply. Failure to do so may cause severe damage to the motherboard, peripherals, or components. 1.2 Motherboard overview 12 3 2 4 22.1cm(8.7in) DVI VGA KBMS_USB910 EATX12V CPU_FAN DIGI +VRM CHA_FAN3 2 CHA_FAN1 DDR4 DIMM_B1 (64bit, 288-pin module) DDR4 DIMM_B2* (64bit, 288-pin module) DDR4 DIMM_A1 (64bit, 288-pin module) DDR4 DIMM_A2* (64bit, 288-pin module) EATXPWR 30.5cm(12.0in) Place this side towards the rear of the HDMI chassis LGA1151 U31G2_34 1 LANGuard LAN1_U31G1_78 CHA_FAN2 M.2_1(SOCKET3) U31G1_56 M.2_1(SOCKET3) AUDIO PCIE SATA IRST X2 V V 2280 2260 2242 5 18 PCIEX1_1 RTL 8111H PRIME H370-PLUS 6 17 PCIEX16_1 18 17 16 Super I/O PCIEX1_2 2280 2260 2242 M.2_2(SOCKET3) PCIE SATA IRST X4 X V 6 Intel® H370 M.2_2(SOCKET3) SATA6G_6 SATA6G_5 ASM 1083 ALC 887-VD2 PCIEX16_2 PCI1 BATTERY 7 128Mb BIOS PCI2 SPDIF_OUT MONO_OUT COM TPM USB1112 USB1314 U31G1_12 CLRTC SATA6G_4 SATA6G_3 SATA6G_2 SATA6G_1 7 AAFP PANEL 15 14 13 12 11 10 5 98 Unplug the power cord before installing or removing the motherboard.
