Upgrading a 2.5-inch storage drive The ROG GR8 II supports one 2.5-inch HDD or one 2.5-inch SSD for additional storage capacity. To upgrade a 2.5-inch HDD or SSD: 1. Follow steps 1 to 5 from the Upgrading memory modules section to remove the side cover. 2. Remove the four screws that secure the 2.5-inch HDD/SSD and bracket assembly. 3. Disconnect the HDD/SSD connector cable from the HDD/SSD. 4. Remove the 2.5-inch HDD/SSD and bracket assembly from the drive bay. 30 ROG GR8 II

Upgrading a 2.5-inch storage drive
The ROG GR8 II supports one 2.5-inch HDD or one 2.5-inch SSD for
additional storage capacity.
To upgrade a 2.5-inch HDD or SSD:
1.
Follow steps 1 to 5 from the
Upgrading memory modules
section
to remove the side cover.
2.
Remove the four screws that secure the 2.5-inch HDD/SSD and
bracket assembly.
3.
Disconnect the HDD/SSD connector cable from the HDD/SSD.
4.
Remove the 2.5-inch HDD/SSD and bracket assembly from the
drive bay.
