Chapter 1 7. SATA 6Gb/s ports The SATA 6Gb/s ports allow you to connect SATA devices such as optical disc drives and hard disk drives via a SATA cable. If you intend to create a SATA RAID set using these connectors, set the SATA Mode item in the BIOS to [Intel RST Premium With Intel Optane System Acceleration(RAID)]. • When a device in SATA mode is installed on the M.2_1 socket, SATA6G_2 port cannot be used. • When a device is installed on the M.2_2 socket, SATA6G_56 ports cannot be used. • Before creating a RAID set, refer to the RAID Configuration Guide.
