Flash ROM Boot Block Programming (BBLKW) This sets the operation mode of the boot block area of the Programmable Flash ROM to allow programming in the Enabled position. This is required only if prompted by the Flash Memory Writer Utility as shown in BIOS SOFTWARE. Real Time Clock (RTC) RAM The CMOS RAM is powered by the onboard button cell battery. To clear the RTC data: (1) Turn off your computer, (2) Short the two pads (Labeled: SHORT HERE TO CLEAR CMOS) momentarily with a metallic object (3) Turn on your computer, (4) Hold down during bootup and enter BIOS setup to reenter user preferences. Battery Test Jumper (JP1) (For Service Use Only) You can test the battery's current by removing this jumper and attaching a current meter to the pins. WARNING: You must unplug the power cord to your power supply to ensure that there is no power to your motherboard. The CMOS RAM containing BIOS setup information may be cleared by this action. You should enter BIOS to "Load Setup Defaults" and re-enter any user information after removing and reapplying this jumper. HERE TO CLEAR CMOS) momentarily with a metallic object (3) Turn on your
computer, (4) Hold down <Delete> during bootup and enter BIOS setup to re-
enter user preferences.
Battery Test Jumper (JP1) (For Service Use Only)
You can test the battery’s current by removing this jumper and attaching a cur-
rent meter to the pins.
WARNING:
You must unplug the power cord to your
power supply to ensure that there is no power to your motherboard.
The
