These are only quick instructions for using your Notebook PC. Read the later pages for detailed infor-
mation on using your Notebook PC.
1. Install the battery pack

Insert the battery pack until it clicks into place.
2. Slide the battery lock to the lock position.
3. Open the Display Panel
Press the power button and release. In Windows XP, this button
can also be used to safely turn OFF the Notebook PC.
There is no latch to release. Lift the display panel with one hand
while holding the system portion with your other hand.
