Installation and Setup The SIRIUS Home Satellite Radio Tuner must be connected to a SIRIUS Outdoor Antenna (sold separately) to receive the SIRIUS signal. The Tuner recognizes and decodes the incoming SIRIUS program information, and provides an audio signal to your stereo receiving equipment or other audio output equipment. Installing Your SIRIUS Tuner You can begin to enjoy SIRIUS Satellite Radio as soon as the Tuner installation is complete and you have subscribed to the SIRIUS XM Radio Service. To set up your Tuner, follow these installation instructions. Installation/Wiring Precautions • Make sure the power cable is not connected to an AC wall outlet until all interconnections have been made and verified. The power cable should be connected last. • Do not install the Tuner in the locations exposed to direct sunlight or in areas subject to extreme temperatures. • Incorrect installation may cause damage to the system. • During antenna installation, refer to "Installing the Antenna" on page 20. 18
