SL4230/SL4230-WH Compact, Surface-Mounted 75-Watt, 6" Loudspeaker Architect's and Engineer's Specifications The loudspeaker shall be a professional full-range loudspeaker system in a ported composite enclosure designed for surface-mounting. Drivers for the loudspeaker system shall include a 6" / 150 mm low frequency driver and a 1" / 25 mm high frequency driver. Enclosure for the loudspeaker system shall be constructed of low-resonance molded composite. The enclosure shall be finished with durable, scuff-free black or white paint. The front of the enclosure shall be protected with a detachable wrap-around steel wire-mesh grille with foam backing. The back of the enclosure shall have a recessed ball-mount receptacle in which the connector shall be located. Mounting bracket shall be supplied with the loudspeaker system. The bracket shall allow aiming in both axes (180 degrees pan, 90 degrees tilt). The bracket shall mount to an included wall plate. Electronics incorporated into the loudspeaker system shall include a passive crossover at 2.5 kHz. A rotary switch cap located on the front panel shall allow selection between full-range and high-pass modes. The loudspeaker system shall also include a transformer enabled by a rotary switch cap on the front panel that sets the loudspeaker to operate either in low-impedance mode (16 Ω) or at one of the supported wattages for high-impedance operation. Transformer taps at 70 V shall be 60, 30, 15 and 7.5 W. Transformer taps at 100 V shall be 60, 30, and 15 W. Connection to the loudspeaker system shall be via a 4-pin Euroblock connector on the input plate. The connector shall have two input terminals and two output "loop-thru" terminals. Performance criteria met by the loudspeaker system shall include: • Nominal impedance of 16 Ω • Sensitivity (1 W/1 m, half-space) of 88 dB • Usable frequency range (-10 dB) of 80 Hz - 20 kHz • Frequency response (-3 dB) of 100 Hz - 18 kHz • Power Handling (pink noise) of 75 W RMS • Maximum SPL (1 m) of 107 dB continuous and 110 dB peak Physical characteristics of the loudspeaker system shall be: • Height x Width x Depth of 12.5 x 7.8 x 7.1" / 311 x 200 x 182 mm • Net weight of not more than 8.4 lbs / 3.8 kg The loudspeaker system shall be the BEHRINGER EUROCOM SL4230. 3
