Insert the F5U222 installation CD into your CD-ROM drive. After a few moments the main menu will auto-start. 2. After the driver is installed, select "Yes, I want to restart my computer now." Click "Close". 3. After Windows restarts, locate your laptop computer's CardBus slot. 4. Insert the Card into the slot. Apply pressure as needed until it is fully seated. 5. After the Card is inserted, all required drivers will be automatically installed. After the installation is complete, you may be prompted to click "Finish" and to restart. Verifying Proper Installation (Windows 2000) After installation is complete, check the Windows Device Manager to confirm that all components of the Card have been properly installed. 1. Right-click on "My Computer". 2. Select "Properties". 3. Select the "Hardware" tab and click on the "Device Manager" button. 4. Click the plus sign (+) next to "Universal Serial Bus Controllers". 9

Installation Procedure for Windows 2000
This installation procedure will install two USB 1.1 OHCI
controllers and one USB 2.0 EHCI host controller.
1.
Insert the F5U222 installation CD into your CD-ROM
drive. After a few moments the main menu will
auto-start.
2.
After the driver is installed, select “Yes, I want to restart
my computer now.” Click “Close”.
3.
After Windows restarts, locate your laptop computer’s
CardBus slot.
4.
Insert the Card into the slot. Apply pressure as needed
until it is fully seated.
5.
After the Card is inserted, all required drivers will be
automatically installed. After the installation is complete,
you may be prompted to click “Finish” and to restart.
Verifying Proper Installation (Windows 2000)
After installation is complete, check the Windows Device
Manager to confirm that all components of the Card have
been properly installed.
1.
Right-click on “My Computer”.
2.
Select “Properties”.
3.
Select the “Hardware” tab and click on the “Device
Manager” button.
4.
Click the plus sign (+) next to “Universal Serial
Bus Controllers”.
