Chapter 2 Initial Installation 2 This Chapter covers the software installation of the Universal Wireless HDTV Adapter. Requirements • Network cable. Use standard 10/100BaseT network (UTP) cable with RJ45 connector. • To use the Wireless Access Point, all Wireless devices must be compliant with the IEEE 802.11g, IEEE 802.11b or IEEE 802.11n specifications. Procedure Figure 1: Installation Diagram 1. Choose an Installation Site Select a suitable place to install the Universal Wireless HDTV Adapter. 2. Connect LAN Cable Use a standard LAN cable to connect the HDTV to the Ethernet port on the device. Both 10BaseT and 100BaseT connections can be used simultaneously. 3. Power Up Connect the supplied USB cable to the Universal Wireless HDTV Adapter. Use only the USB cable provided. Using a different one may cause hardware damage. 4. Check the LEDs The POWER LED should be ON. For more information, refer to Front-mounted LED in Chapter 1. 4

Initial Installation
This Chapter covers the software installation of the Universal Wireless HDTV
Adapter.
Requirements
Network cable. Use standard 10/100BaseT network (UTP) cable with RJ45 connector.
To use the Wireless Access Point, all Wireless devices must be compliant with the IEEE
802.11g, IEEE 802.11b or IEEE 802.11n specifications.
Procedure

1. Choose an Installation Site
Select a suitable place to install the Universal Wireless HDTV Adapter.
2. Connect LAN Cable
Use a standard LAN cable to connect the HDTV to the Ethernet port on the device. Both
10BaseT and 100BaseT connections can be used simultaneously.
3. Power Up
Connect the supplied USB cable to the Universal Wireless HDTV Adapter. Use only the
USB cable provided.
Using a different one may cause hardware damage.
4. Check the LEDs
The
POWER
LED should be ON.
