Operations Power Switch The red power switch is located on the bottom left of the back side of the unit. Press gently with foot to turn power ON and OFF. Power Cord When you are finished vacuuming, return to upright position and store power cord. 1. Turn vacuum OFF. 2. Unplug power cord by grasping the polarized plug (NOT the cord) and disconnect from outlet. 3. Loop power cord around cord wraps on side of vacuum and clip molded plug to power cord to secure. Handle Positions The handle release pedal is located just under the red power switch on the bottom left of the back of the vacuum. Press the black handle release pedal with foot to place vacuum into one of three cleaning positions: 1. Upright: for storage, transporting, and above floor cleaning with tools. • Transport in upright position by tilting vacuum on rear wheels and push forward or use carrying handle on back of handle base. 2. Normal Cleaning: Press handle release pedal once for most household floor cleaning. 3. Low Cleaning: From normal cleaning position, press handle release pedal once for cleaning under low furniture. NOTICE: While vacuuming, certain carpets and low humidity conditions may generate small static discharges. The discharges are entirely harmless and are not associated with the main power supply. 1 2 ! WARNING: Brush continues to rotate while in upright position. 3 7
