Installation Procedure The following procedure describes how to upgrade your sewing machine to version 3.0. Note • If the procedure described below is not fully completed, your sewing machine cannot be upgraded to version 3.0. • Access to the Internet is required in order to obtain a certification key. a Make a note of the 10-digit number (machine number) displayed beside "NO." on P.3 of the settings screen. Memo • Since this number will be entered when a certification key is obtained, be sure to write it down correctly. Machine number (NO.) Note • If information other than a 10-digit number appears beside "NO.", update the sewing machine to version 2.03 or later before installing the upgrade application. For details on the update procedure, refer to page 224 of the sewing machine's Operation Manual. • The number that appears beside "NO." is different from the serial number (SER. NO.) on the label attached to the back of the sewing machine. 3
