S BMP Format. These options appear only when you select BMP from the Formats list. If you are exporting a bitmap format file, you must indicate the type of application you are exporting to so that the export file is prepared in a way that the application will be able to read it. You can choose from the following options: Choose OS/2 Device Independent Bitmap if you plan to use the exported file in an OS/2 application. Choose Windows 2.x Device Dependent Bitmap if you plan to use the exported file in a Windows application with a version of Microsoft Windows earlier than 3.0. Choose Windows 3.x DIB if you plan to use the exported file in an application running with Microsoft WindowsĄ3.0 or higher. Choose Windows 3.x DIB RLE Compressed if you plan to use the exported file with Microsoft WindowsĄ3.0 or higher and you want the file to be Run-Length-Encoded (RLE) compressed. S Compression. These options appear only when you select TIFF from the Formats list. You can choose from the following options: Choose Uncompressed to export without compression. Choose Auto-Compress to export with compression. S Export Entire Document. Select this option to export the entire file. S Export Selected Objects. Select this option to export only the objects you have selected in the drawing. This is the default selection. 6. Click on Export. A message appears asking you to insert the document diskette. 7. Insert the document diskette and click on OK. A dialog box appears. S Select Folder and Format for Export. Using the scroll bars, find and open the folder where you want to save the exported file. S New File Name. Enter a name for the exported file. The correct extension already appears in this box, so you do not need to enter it. Be sure to enter a standard DOS file name no more than eight characters long with an optional three letter extension. For more information about DOS file names, see Saving Documents" in ChapterĄ1. 8.
