OVER TYPING The machine normally operates in Overtype Mode. In Overtype Mode, you can change a character simply by typing a new one in its place. To type over a character: (1) Move the cursor to the character you want to change. (2) Press the character or symbol you want. The new character replaces the old one in the message. Example To replace the lower-case letters "mith" with capital letters: q Position the cursor under the "m".
