TROUBLESHOOTING Problem Solution (6) The tape is not ejected correctly after q Turn off the machine, open the tape com- being automatically cut. partment cover, and remove the tape cas- sette if one is installed. q Using a cotton swab dipped in isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol, clean off the metal piece in the exit slot to the left of cutter. (8) After turning on the P-touch, the message "BACKUP MEMORY CLEARED" appears and all of the files in the memory are lost. q Reset the machine by turning it off, and Code while holding down and R , turn- ing the machine back on. All text and formats in the display and all text files stored in the memory will be erased. q The internal backup battery is low. Contact your nearest service representative. 72
