UTILITY STITCHES Quilting Sandwiching batting between the top and bottom layers of fabric is called "quilting". Quilts can easily be sewn using the walking foot and the quilting guide. ■ Using the optional quilting guide Use the quilting guide to sew parallel stitches that are equally spaced. Baste the fabric to be quilted. 1 Attach the walking foot. 2 • For details, refer to "Using the walking foot" (page 40). Select a stitch. 3 • For details, refer to "Selecting stitching" (page 68). be sewn using the walking foot and the quilting
guide.

Baste the fabric to be quilted.

Attach the walking foot.

Select a stitch.
