LCOS vs. LCD or DLP: What can REALiS do for you? What's the LCOS technology advantage? Lattice-free, seamless images. Say goodbye to annoying visual distractions common with LCD projectors, such as the grid-like pixel patterns known as "screen door effect." Say goodbye to muted color and detail. LCOS produces exceptional color, intricate detail, easy-to-read type (even at 7pt.) and HD images that leap off the screen in breathtaking quality and integrity. The difference is in the details. In transmissive LCD projectors, colors become easily muted and text appears faint and uneven because the gaps between pixels are huge. REALiS LCOS projectors minimize those gaps, creating detailed, color-rich images with text that is crisp and dark. Single-chip DLP projectors produce troublesome red-green-blue spots when viewers shift their gaze. LCOS solves this "rainbow effect" by achieving subtle color gradations. Even tones of black and gray look better with LCOS than they do with DLP. There's no comparison. The advantages of LCOS are easy to see for both presenter and audience alike: rich color, deep contrast, fine grain and sharp resolution. There's no clearer choice than REALiS. Display of fine lines CAD images, blueprints and fine lines are reproduced smoothly and accurately with REALiS high-resolution projectors. 3-panel LCOS Display of color and detail REALiS SXGA+ models present exceptional color and intricate detail. 3-panel LCOS 3-panel LCD 3-panel LCD 1-chip DLP 1-chip DLP Display of small text By using more pixels for each letter, REALiS projectors can display easy-to-read type, as small as 7pt., often illegible on LCD-based XGA projectors. 3-panel LCOS 3-panel LCD 1-chip DLP Display of fine grained objects REALiS lattice-free images ensure smooth, crisp displays of fine grained objects, including metallic surfaces, typically dulled by LCD projectors. 3-panel LCOS 3-panel LCD OUR PIXELS ARE REALLY CLOSE 1-chip DLP All images are simulated close-ups. 3
