Changing the Metering Mode You can change the brightness metering mode to match the shot you want to take. Evaluative Center Weighted Avg. Spot Select the metering mode. ● Press the m button, then use the op buttons to select . Select a menu item. ● Press the qr buttons to select a menu item, then press the m button. Suitable for standard shooting conditions, including back lit shots. Automatically adjusts the exposure so that the subject is always properly lit for the shooting conditions. Averages the light metered from the entire frame, but gives greater weight to the center. Only meters within the (Spot AE Point frame) that appears at the center of the screen. % Shooting with AF Lock You can lock focusing. Once the focus is locked, it remains locked even if you let go of the shutter button. Focus. ● Point the camera so that the subject of the same shooting distance as the subject you want to take a picture of, is in the AF frame Lock the focus. ● Keep the shutter button pressed halfway and press the q button . X The focus is locked and displays on the screen. Compose the scene and shoot. ● After shooting, press q to cancel AF lock. 85
