3 Set the camera. Click the setting item, and select the setting*1 *2 *1 If you checkmark [Change settings using mouse wheel on capture screen] (p.73) on the [Remote Shooting] tab sheet on the [Preferences], you can also select settings with the scroll-wheel on your mouse. You cannot use the scroll-wheel in the mirror lockup menu or under [Image saving location]. *2 You can click the Exposure level/AEB level item and perform AEB setting using the key + scroll-wheel. The settings that cannot be set in the capture window can be set by operating the camera. A warning lamp blinks during the countdown for self-timer shooting and the countdown time is displayed in the area for the number of possible shots. Mirror lockup settings are available when the camera mode is P, Tv, Av, M, or B. During mirror lockup, the mirror lockup icon blinks. With 5DS/5DS R , you can select the release timing after the mirror lockup to take a picture. Timing can be selected from 1/8 second later, 1/4 second later, 1/2 second later, 1 second later, and 2 seconds later. When shooting with auto exposure, the shutter speed or aperture blinks to indicate under-exposure or over-exposure conditions. When shooting with manual exposure, the metering value is displayed in real time in the exposure level area.
