JPEG/TIFF Editing with the Detailed Adjustment Tool Palette You can use the Detailed Adjustment tool palette to reduce the noise that occurs in images shot at night or at high ISO settings. This tool palette can also be used in conjunction with the sharpness adjustment functions. Note that you can use the functions in this tool palette with JPEG and TIFF images as well as RAW images. Reducing Noise You can reduce noise that arises in images shot at night or with a high ISO speed. * NR stands for Noise Reduction. 1 Select an image in the main window, etc. Adjust an image. 2 Display the Detailed Adjustment tool palette. Enlargement display position Check window Drag the sliders Enter a setting (in 0.1stop increments) You can set a noise reduction level from within a range of 0 to 20. The larger the setting, the larger the noise reduction effect. The noise reduction effect can also be checked in the check window.
