Checking the Battery Level Check the battery level after replacing the batteries and before using the camera. Turn the Mode Dial to a shooting mode. • Hold down the dial's lock release button while turning the dial. sThe camera will then turn on and the LCD panel will display one of the following battery level mark: : Battery level OK. : The battery level is low. Keep spare batteries handy. : The batteries will soon be completely exhausted. : Replace the batteries.
