Adjusting Basic Camera Functions Lens Retraction Timing The lens is normally retracted for safety about one minute after you press the 1 button in Shooting mode (p. 40). To have the lens retracted immediately after you press the 1 button, set the retraction timing to [0 sec.]. z Choose [Lens Retract], and then choose [0 sec.]. Power-Saving Adjustment Adjust the timing of automatic camera and screen deactivation (Auto Power Down and Display Off, respectively) as needed (p. 40). Access the [Power Saving] screen. z Choose [Power Saving], and then press the m button. Configure the settings. z After choosing an item, press the qr buttons to adjust it as needed. A4000 IS A3400 IS A2400 IS A2300 • To conserve battery power, you should normally choose [On] for [Auto Power Down] and [1 min.] or less for [Display Off].
