The AF frame indicates the area of the composition on which the camera focuses. You can set the AF frame in the following ways. The camera automatically selects On between 9 AF frames to focus on according to the shooting conditions. The camera focuses using the center AF Off frame. This is convenient for ensuring that your intended subject is in focus and for composing images. 1 (Rec.) Menu (AiAF) [On]*/[Off]. See Menus and Settings (p. 19). * Default setting. If the shutter button is pressed halfway while the LCD monitor is on, the AF frame appears as follows: - Green: Shooting preparations complete - Yellow: Focusing difficulty (AiAF is set to [Off].) - Off: Focusing difficulty (AiAF is set to [On].) 39
