Thermal Head When using the printer with paper chips, foreign substances, or hand fats adhering to the thermal printhead, the function of the thermal printhead or Platen Roller may be deteriorated. If they adhere to the thermal printhead, follow the steps below to clean it. CAUTION Do not touch the thermal printhead surface with bare hands, or press something hard against it. Doing so may result in malfunctions. A Push the Cover Open Lever down to open the Paper Cover. B Lightly wipe the heat-generating part of the thermal printhead surface with a cloth that has been soaked in water and thoroughly wrung out. Moving blade initialize sensor If paper dusts, etc. generated while cutting paper adhere to the Moving Blade Initialize Sensor, sensor misrecognition may occur. If they adhere to the Moving Blade Initialize Sensor, follow the steps below to clean it. A Push the Cover Open Lever down to open the Paper Cover. B Blow off adhering substances using a blower, etc. Thermal Head IMPORTANT • Do not use materials such as sand paper that may damage the heat generating part. • Do not apply excessive force to the thermal printhead. C Allow the thermal printhead to dry completely, and then close the Paper Cover. Moving blade initialize sensor C Close the Paper Cover. Paper Sensor If paper dusts etc. generated while cutting paper adhere to the Paper Sensor, sensor misrecognition may occur. If they adhere to the Paper Sensor, follow the steps below to clean it.
