Chapter 2 2-4 Scanning In addition to using scanning applications, such as CapturePerfect 3.0 to perform scanning, the DR-6010C is equipped with the Job Function. The Job Function enables you to scan simply by touching a job button on the scanner. This section provides an overview of the Job Function and CapturePerfect 3.0. For more details, refer to the User Manual and the CapturePerfect 3.0 Operation Guide. What Is the Job Function? The Job Function enables you to assign functions to a job button located on the scanner. The following jobs are preset, however, they can be changed to suit your needs. Job buttons a Start: Starts scanning according to the application settings. b Stop: Stops scanning. c Save as file: Saves scanned images to the [Pictures] folder in the PDF format. Example: When you place a document in the scanner and press job button c, scanning starts, the DR-6010C monitor displays the progress and status of the job, and the image data is automatically processed according to the conditions set for the job. The Job Function enables you to program the job buttons to scan documents without having to start an application on the computer. The scanned image data are automatically processed according to instructions that you specify using the Job Registration Tool.
