Receiving Documents Manually with an Extension Telephone (REMOTE RX) Remote reception enables you to use an external telephone connected to the machine to receive faxes manually. This can be useful when the machine is not nearby or is being used by someone else. The default setting is , and the default remote reception ID is . Activating Remote Receive Mode Fax (imageRUNNER 1025iF Only) - This function is not available when in is set to . - The machine switches to the document receive mode after the external telephone rings for a specified time, if of in of is set to . 1 Press [Additional Functions]. 2 Press [ ] or [ ] to select , then press [OK]. REMOTE RX ON If you do not want to change the default remote reception ID, skip to step 9. 7 Press [Clear] twice to delete the default remote reception ID of 25. REMOTE RX ID 25 8 Enter a new remote reception ID (a combination of two characters) - , and [numeric keys], Ex. REMOTE RX ID 00 9 Press [Stop] to return to the standby mode. 5-59
