Slide the battery cover on the bottom of the microscope (5) to open, and insert the batteries according to the battery polarity as shown. After the batteries are installed, close the battery cover. Battery condition will be shown in the top left of the LCD in viewing and video modes, and "Low Battery Condition" will be shown in red on the screen to notify you. Note: When not using the microscope, you will want to turn it off to preserve battery life. Typical battery life is 1.5 hours using 3 LEDs and 0.75 hours using all 6 LEDs. For most applications, 3 LEDs are all that are needed for proper illumination. Also, if the microscope will not be used for a few weeks or more, remove the batteries. 4
