Step 3 Step 4 Step 5 Example: Router# configure terminal voice-port slot/port Example: Router(config)# voice-port 0/1 connection {trunk|plar|tie-line|plar-opx} string Example: Router(config-voice-port)# connection tie-line 5550100 dial-type {pulse|dtmf|mf} Enters voice-port configuration mode. See Port Numbering Conventions, page 1-5. Configures the voice-port connection mode type and the destination telephone number. The plar value is used for private line automated ringdown (PLAR) connections. The tie-line value is used for a tie-line connection to a PBX. The plar-opx value, for PLAR off-premises extension, allows the local voice port to provide a local response before the remote voice port receives an answer. Configures the voice-port dial-type.
