Profiles CH A P T E R 7 This chapter describes how to create and use the C65/76M profiles, and consists of these sections: • Network Element Profile, page 7-1 • Syslog Profile, page 7-3 Profiles are used to apply the same configuration settings to multiple instances of the same object. This is useful in environments containing a large number of network elements. Network Element Profile The Network Element profile is used to set up a standard template for the Network Element object attributes listed below. These attributes are discussed in detail in the "C6576M Network Element Dialog Box" section on page 6-5. • System Location • System Contact • Telnet Password • Enable Password • SNMP Trap Enabled Creating a Network Element Profile To create a Network Element Profile, follow these steps: Step 1 Launch the Network Element Profile dialog box by choosing Open NE Config/Mgmt Profile from the pop-up menu of the Network Element object.
