Displaying IE 3000 Switch Alarms Status Chapter 3 Configuring Cisco IE 3000 Switch Alarms Beginning in privileged EXEC mode, follow these steps to enable the switch to send alarm traps: Step 1 Step 2 Step 3 Step 4 Step 5 Command Purpose configure terminal Enter global configuration mode. snmp-server enable traps alarms Enable the switch to send SNMP traps. end Return to privileged EXEC mode. show alarm settings Verify the configuration. copy running-config startup-config (Optional) Save your entries in the configuration file.
