Two-Point AutoImmobilization BlackJax 4 is not a car alarm, but you can set BlackJax 4 to automatically immobilize your vehicle's starter and ignition systems to prevent a thief from starting the engine if he breaks into your parked car. This will assure that he will not even be able to drive your car off at all. If you have this feature programmed on (it is factory set to off), AutoImmobilization of the starter and ignition will occur 30 seconds after turning off the ignition key. The dashboard LED will flash repeatedly in this state to warn away potential thieves. To drive the vehicle after AutoImmobilization has occurred: 1. Insert your car key and turn the ignition all the way to the ON position. 2. En ter your PIN code 3. You may now start the engine. Since you input your PIN code even before starting the engine, you will not need to re-enter when you begin driving. How to turn the AutoImmobilization feature on/off 1. Enter program mode by turning on the ignition, entering your PIN code, then pressing and holding the D button of the PlainView 2 switch for 3 seconds until you hear a chirp. 2. Press the blank button once, then pause. After pausing, you will hear a confirmation chirp. 3. Within 5 seconds, press and release the D button 6 times. To help you count, you will hear a chirp each time you press the D button. 4. Pause. You will hear either one or two chirps: One chirp = off; two chirps = on. 5. Turn off the ignition to exit program mode (you'll hear a 3-chirp confirmation). You may change the factory set 30-second siren duration to 60 or 90 seconds via the programming procedure or via the CliffNet Wizard software (see the following section). Please note that this feature is not available on European models in compliance with EC requirements. How to change siren duration 1. into your parked car. This will assure that he will not even be able to drive your car off at all.
If you have this feature programmed on (it is factory set to off), AutoImmobilization of the
starter and ignition will occur 30 seconds after turning off the ignition key. The dashboard
LED will flash repeatedly in this state to warn away potential thieves.
To drive the vehicle after AutoImmobilization has occurred:
1.
Insert your car key and turn the ignition all the way to the ON position.

En ter your PIN code
3.
You may now start the engine.
Since you input your PIN code even before starting the engine, you will not need to re-enter
when you begin driving.
How to turn the AutoImmobilization feature on/off

Enter program mode by turning on the ignition, entering your PIN code, then pressing and
holding the
button of the PlainView 2 switch for 3 seconds until you hear a chirp.
2.
Press the blank button once, then pause. After pausing, you will hear a confirmation chirp.
3.
Within 5 seconds, press and release the
button 6 times. To help you count, you will hear
a chirp each time you press the
button.
4.
Pause. You will hear either one or two chirps: One chirp = off; two chirps = on.
5.
Turn off the ignition to exit program mode (you’ll hear a 3-chirp confirmation).
How to interpret the LED status indicator
LED Condition
Meaning
Off
System is disarmed and in normal operating mode (i.e., valet mode is off)
On
Valet mode is on (i.e., BlackJax anti-carjacking is off). The vehicle may be
driven without ever having to enter the PIN code
Flashing rapidly
(ignition on)
Anti-carjacking mode has been engaged, enter your valet/disarming code
IMMEDIATELY
Flashing
System is disarmed but the Two-Point AutoImmobilization has been
engaged
High-Output Siren
This Clifford-engineered siren is more rugged than generic sirens.
You may change the factory set 30-second siren duration to 60 or 90 seconds via the
programming procedure or via the CliffNet Wizard software (see the following section).
Please note that this feature is not available on European models in compliance with EC
requirements.
How to change siren duration
