7 Troubleshooting Use the following suggestions to troubleshoot problems with Compaq iPAQ H3900 Pocket PC. The symptom or situation is... I cannot see anything on the screen. I cannot keep my battery charged. The backlight keeps turning off. I cannot connect to my computer using a cable or the cradle. A possible remedy is... Make sure the screen is on. Make sure the iPAQ Pocket PC is connected to the AC adapter and the universal cradle. Always keep the iPAQ Pocket PC connected to a universal cradle or AC adapter when you are not using it. In the backlight settings slide the bar to the lowest level to conserve the most power. Change the time the backlight stays on and choose to have the backlight turn on when you touch the screen or push a button. Make sure your iPAQ Pocket PC is connected to your computer. Make sure the cable is plugged in securely. Make sure your iPAQ Pocket PC is in the cradle securely. If you are using a serial cable, make sure it is plugged into the COM port. If you are using a USB cable, make sure you are running Windows 98, Me, or 2000 and that you have installed Microsoft ActiveSync 3.5 or a later version on your computer.
