3-2 Compaq Parallel Database Cluster Model PDC/O5000 for Oracle8i and Windows 2000 Administrator Guide Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server This version of the PDC/O5000 supports Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server with Service Pack 1 or later. NOTE: The PDC/O5000 does not work in conjunction with Microsoft Cluster Server. Do not install Microsoft Cluster Server on any of the cluster nodes. Compaq Software Compaq offers an extensive set of features and optional tools to support effective configuration and management of the PDC/O5000: I Compaq SmartStart™ and Support Software I Compaq System Configuration Utility I Compaq Insight Manager™ I Compaq Insight Manager XE I Compaq Options ROMPaq™ I Compaq StorageWorks Command Console I Compaq StorageWorks Secure Path for Windows 2000 I Compaq operating system dependent modules (OSDs) Compaq SmartStart and Support Software SmartStart, which is located on the SmartStart and Support Software CD, is the best way to configure Windows 2000 Advanced Server on a PDC/O5000 cluster. SmartStart uses an automated step-by-step process to configure the operating system and load the system software. The Compaq SmartStart and Support Software CD also contains device drivers and utilities that enable you to take advantage of specific capabilities offered on Compaq products. These drivers are provided for use with Compaq hardware only. The PDC/O5000 requires version 4.9 of the SmartStart and Support Software CD. For information about SmartStart, refer to the Compaq Server Setup and Management pack.
