Security Connecting an Optional Security Cable ✎ The purpose of security solutions is to act as a deterrent. These solutions do not prevent the product from being mishandled or stolen. Refer to the illustration that is the closest match to your notebook. To install an optional security cable: 1. Loop the security cable 1 around a secured object. 2. Insert the key 2 into the cable lock 3. 3. Insert the cable lock (with the key inserted) into the security cable slot 4 on the notebook. 4. Turn the key counterclockwise and remove it.
