DES-3226S Layer 2 Fast Ethernet Switch User's Guide config priority_add priority value to be written to the 802.1p priority field of an incoming packet that meets the criteria specified in the first part of the command. This priority is for internal use by the switch to determine which of the switch's 4 hardware priority queues the packet will be forwarded to. The actual hardware priority queue the packet will be forwarded to is determined by the config 802.1p user_priority command described below. This internal priority value will be overwritten by the orginal 802.1p user priority value when the packet egresses from the switch, if the replace_priority parameter (below) is not specified. replace priority − This parameter will replace the 802.1p user priority with the priority specified above. If this parameter is not specified, the packet will have the same 802.1p user priority when it exits the switch as it had when it was received. Restrictions Only administrator-level users can issue this command. DES-3226S Layer 2 Fast Ethernet Switch User’s Guide
QOS Commands
141
config priority_add
priority value to be written to the 802.1p
priority field of an incoming packet that meets
the criteria specified in the first part of the
command.
This priority is for internal use by
the switch to determine which of the switch’s 4
hardware priority queues the packet will be
forwarded to.
The actual hardware priority
queue the packet will be forwarded to is
determined
by
the
config
802.1p
user_priority
command
described
below.
This internal priority value will be over-
written by the orginal 802.1p user priority
value when the packet egresses from the
switch, if the
replace_priority
parameter
(below) is not specified.
replace priority
This parameter will replace
the 802.1p user priority with the priority
<value> specified above.
If this parameter is
not specified, the packet will have the same
802.1p user priority when it exits the switch as
it had when it was received.
Restrictions
Only administrator-level users can issue this
command.
Example Usage:
DES3226S:4#config priority add mac 00-00-00-01-02-03
priority 1
Command: config priority add mac 00-00-00-01-02-03
priority 1
