xStack® DGS-3600 Series Layer 3 Managed Gigabit Ethernet Switch Password Encryption This window is used to set the password encryption state. To view this window, click Administration > Password Encryption, as shown below: Figure 2- 19. Password Encryption window The following parameters can be configured: Parameter Description Encryption State Use the pull-down menu to enable or disable the password encryption. Select Enabled to change the password into encrypted form. When password encryption is Disabled, the password will be in plain text form. However, if the user specifies the password in encrypted form, or if the password has been converted to encrypted form by the last enable password encryption command in the CLI, the password will still be in encrypted form and cannot be reverted back to plaintext form. Click Apply to implement the changes. 23
