Example This example shows how to clear flap statistics for all IPv6 unicast address prefixes. Switch# clear bgp ipv6 unicast flap-statistics Switch# 12-30 clear ip bgp (MI and EI Mode Only) This command is used to reset BGP connections using hard or soft reconfiguration. clear ip bgp [ipv4 {unicast | multicast} | vpnv4 {vrf VRF-NAME | unicast}] {all | AS-NUMBER | peer-group PEER-GROUP-NAME | NEIGHBOR-ADDRESS} [soft [in [prefix-filter] | out]] Parameters ipv4 unicast multicast vrf VRF-NAME vpnv4 all AS-NUMBER NEIGHBOR-ADDRESS PEER_GROUP-NAME soft in prefix-filter out Specifies the IPv4 address family routing entry. It is the default address family. Specifies the unicast address family routing entry. It is the default address family modifier. Specifies the multicast address family routing entry. It is the default address family modifier. Specifies the VRF address family routing entry. Specifies the IPv4 VPN address family routing entry. Specifies to issue reset of all sessions in the specified address family. Specifies to issue reset of sessions with peers in the specified AS will be reset. Specifies to issue reset of the specified neighbor session. Specifies to issue reset of the peer group sessions. (Optional) Specifies to issue a soft reset without tearing down the session. (Optional) Specifies to issue the inbound reconfiguration. If neither in nor out parameter is specified, both inbound and outbound sessions are reconfigured. (Optional) Specifies to clear the existing outbound route filter (ORF) prefix list to trigger a new route refresh to update the ORF prefix list from the peer router. (Optional) Specifies to issue the outbound reconfiguration. If neither in nor out parameter is specified, both inbound and outbound sessions are reconfigured. 185
