D-Link Document - User Manual iSCSI Nodes The iSCSI Nodes tab is used to view the target name for iSCSI initiator. The two controllers support multiple nodes, listed below. DSN-6200 Series: support up to 64 multiple nodes per controller. DSN-6500 Series: support up to 64 multiple nodes per controller. The options available on this tab are Authentication Method: CHAP (Challenge Handshake Authentication Protocol) is a strong authentication method used for user login. It's a type of authentication in which the authentication server sends the client a key to be used for encrypting the username and password. CHAP enables the username and password to transmit in an encrypted form for protection. TIP: A CHAP account must be added before you can use this authentication method. Please refer to CHAP Accounts section to create an account if none exists. To use CHAP authentication, please follow the procedures. 。 Select one of the nodes from one controller. 。 Check ▼ Authentication Method. 。 Select CHAP from the drop-down list.
