TROUBLESHOOTING From time to time a problem may arise which is minor in nature, and a service call may not be necessary; use this troubleshooting guide for a possible solution. If the unit continues to operate improperly, call an authorized service depot or Danby's Toll Free Number for assistance. Tel:1-800-26- PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE • No power to unit. 1) Freezer does not work. • Power cord is unplugged. • Wrong voltage being used. 2) Freezer runs continuously. • Temperature is too high. • Door is not closed. • Hot food inserted into cabinet. • Door opened too long/often. • Close proximity to heat source or direct sunlight. 3) Internal temperature not cold enough. • No power to unit. • Power cord is unplugged. • Temperature is too low. • Door is not closed. • Hot food inserted into cabinet. • Door opened too long/often. • Air flow obstruction. • Wrong voltage is being used. • Close proximity to heat source or direct sunlight. SOLUTION • Check connection of power cord to power supply. • Plug in unit. • Use proper voltage. • Lower temperature control. • Close the door. • Cool food to room temperature before inserting. • Minimize door openings/duration. • Do not place unit close to heat source or in direct sunlight. • Check connection of power cord to power supply. • Plug in unit. • Raise temperature control. • Close the door. • Cool food to room temperature before insterting. • Minimize door openings/duration. • Allow room for air to circulate around the unit. • Use proper voltage. • Do not place unit close to heat source or direct sunlight. 5
