2 Installing the Software Navigating CLI Modes The FTOS prompt changes to indicate the CLI mode. You must move linearly through the command modes, with the exception of the end command which takes you directly to EXEC Privilege mode; the exit command moves you up one command mode level. Console Access The console port is an asynchronous serial port. If you connect a device to these ports, it must be capable of asynchronous transmission. Step Task 1 Install an RJ-45 copper cable into the console port. Use a rollover cable to connect the C150 or C300 console port to a terminal server. 2 Connect the other end of the cable to the DTE terminal server. 3 Your terminal or terminal emulation mode must be set to VT100 with the following settings: 9600 baud rate (To avoid autobaud input, the default is set to a 9600 BPS.) Navigating CLI Modes
The FTOS prompt changes to indicate the CLI mode. You must move linearly
through the command modes, with the exception of the

Console Access

Task
